The Andromeda Strain Michael Creighton

A formidable disease that was discovered is on a rate of growth that could potentially kill the human race. After 6 days it should go loose however on the sixth day they believe that they have found the cure crying. All subjects that cried lived however so did all of the subjects that didn't. The disease had mutated into a benign form. I did not like the ending so I am warning you of this now. Other than that it was a really interesting well written book. The author included a lot of realistic dialogue however their were also heroic characters which I didn't like.
