In the book All The
Light We Cannot See, Werner grows up in Nazi Germany and is learning
about all of the spoils he is not in possession of. He learns about
electricity and is facinated by the subject. He also learns that his
path is not a good one and is ridden with coal mines and poverty.
Meanwhile Marie is growing up in a walled city blind at age five she
must learn to cope with this when her father makes her a perfect
scale model of the city. She slowly learns the paths streets and
other things. On one tuesday she finds her way home from a park and
slowly learns independence. So far this is a really good book that I
have enjoyed. It describes life really well both in poverty and with
disability. I would rate this book as being pretty good.
